Question to the group - how are you managing inactive users IDs in Maximo? We have Work Order workflow, pre-reqs etc. which fail to progress due to inactive user ID's. How do you manage this process? Are you managing via periodic data updates, escalations, assigning to temporary user to be reassigned? etc.
As users leave the company, have name changes, etc. we are left with Work orders with inactive owners. We are looking to implements some business process so as employees leave, this work can be reassigned, but are you all using some automated process?

I have added a PDF which describes the steps to set up a "re-assign to me' button in Maximo. Turns out it is a workflow and workflow action that completes the task (not an automation script as I mentioned back in June)... Hope the details help someone
I know your question was input some time ago, and I don't see any response. I ran into a similar issue a few years ago with work orders being assigned to inactive owners. Being on the technical support team, I created an automation script that would allow a user to "take over a workflow assignment from someone else"... this was triggered by a toolbar icon in the application. Users could use this to progress work orders along, if the person it was assigned to was no longer at the company or even if that person was just away from work (on leave/pto) If you like I can send you the step by step details of how you can implement this for your organization.
